Eureka Commercial Solutions was established in 2008 to provide small and mid-tier business with access to the services of experienced, senior level financial executives, with experience in a wide range of commercial, accounting and financial matters.
Most large businesses are of sufficient size to justify accessing these services through a full time, permanent chief financial officer, or similar type position. However many small to mid-sized business cannot afford the cost of a full time employee capable of providing these services.
The original concept was borne out of the founder working with a small organisation to develop a simple financial model, which despite being simple, enabled the organisation to improve employee productivity on a particular task enormously. In doing this, the founder realised that there would likely be many similar organisations that would benefit from having access to the knowledge and experience of a senior level finance executive on a part time or one-off basis, paying only for the services provided as needed.
Since Eureka was established, the company has worked with many clients undertaking a variety of such tasks.
Some of this work has been short term, task-specific engagements. Other work has started as short term, task specific, but grown into longer term, broad ranging engagements.
One of Eureka’s advantages is that its founding director is a specialist at being a generalist, by virtue of his long career in a variety of roles, companies and industries. It is in these varied roles, companies and industries that his academic, technical knowledge has been applied and tested in real company situations. As a result he is able to step in and handle an extremely diverse variety of roles and tasks, depending on needs.
